Since law school, Amy has always loved the bankruptcy system. The eight-year old in her who constantly protesting, "That's not fair!" gets satisfaction now because her role involves helping people overwhelmed with debt find a fair way to a fresh start. Protecting the rights of Ciment Law clients in bankruptcy is one of Amy’s primary focuses. She protects our clients against debt collection harassment, improper fees and financing issues both in and out of the bankruptcy court.
Student loans are a burden on so many, so Amy has begun providing counseling and representation on these as well. After years of tough court decisions, there have been breakthroughs in how student loans are handled in bankruptcy as well. Now, bankruptcy can provide a discharge of federal student loans for many people who have struggled with loans for over ten years and still have not made a dent in the principal.
Amy first brought her 23 years of experience as a lawyer and 19 years of experience in consumer protection law to Ciment Law Firm in 2024. A graduate of USC law school, Amy Clark has worked in large and small firms and legal aid as well as running her solo law firm for 14 years. She’s brought cases to trial in front of both judges and juries across Texas. Her reputation as an honest, kind, and yet fierce and intelligent defender of consumers helps Ciment Law clients get full justice for their claims.
During her spare time, Amy watches foreign crime dramas and plays with her goofy pets. She loves swimming, hanging out with her family, and laughing too much at the absurdity in life!
